Emilio Renart's Creative Ecology: Anatomy of a Research Project

The aim of this interactive is to build a provisional network of nodes of inquiry that link Argentine artist Emilio Renart’s (1925–1991) known art and activities to a wider world environment. This project moves elliptically around two sets of objects in the collection of OAS AMA | Art Museum of the Americas--Drawing No. 13 (1965) and a group of archival photographs picturing Renart’s Integralismo Bio Cosmos series (1962–1967). The research presented here moves in and out from these two entities, following vectors of possibility to consider them in terms of art history, politics, science, anthropology, materiality, and sensory reception.
